We’re still in Brazil...

It is now Thursday, March 6, and still no visa...... Our flight home was supposed to be Tuesday, March 4, but .... the "express" service that the U.S. Consulate uses to deliver visas does not deliver door-to-door in Teresina. So instead, they deliver to the local postal carrier to complete the delivery, and this is supposed to happen within three days. Today is day three, so we will see if the visa arrives today, or not. At this point, I don't have a lot of hope.

I have been changing our itineraries each night, hoping that we would travel the next night, but if the visa doesn't come today or tomorrow, that would probably mean that the weekend would be a wash and we would have to look toward Monday (and beyond).

As it is... I'm trying to relax... enjoy the family... resist eating as much as Carmélia and Nyna try to feed me... (-:

UPDATE
Nyna's visa arrived this morning!!! So we are now set to depart tonight at 11:25 in the evening. After a layover in Fortaleza for most of the night (miserable!), we will fly from Fortaleza to Miami (with two stops at Belem and Manaus) and should arrive around 5 in the afternoon. After we get through immigration and customs, we then have a connecting flight from Miami to Orlando at 7 and should arrive in Orlando at 8 pm.
